Bio
Alana Ghent is a native of London, Ontario. Her previous theatre credits include work as a director, actor, and producer. Regionally, she has directed and/or performed with the Showboat Majestic, Ovation Theatre Company, the Rising Phoenix Theatre, and Kincaid Regional Theatre Company, and the Cincinnati Playwright’s Initiative. Her research interests include the experiential theatre experiences, building community through theatre, and movement oriented approaches to training actors and creating theatre. Her education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Concordia University in Montréal, Québec, an MFA in Directing, additional study in movement, stage combat, and Alexander Technique, and a certification in teaching Yoga. Her passion is for creating theatre experiences and artists that engage with the world in meaningful and authentic dialogue.
